World number one Carlos Alcaraz retired from his Paris Masters quarter-final against Holger Rune on Friday due to injury while trailing by a set.
Rune won the first 6-3 before Alcaraz quit early in the second set tie-break, having received treatment on his abdominal area at the previous changeover.
