Sevilla FC goalkeeper Yassine Bounou suffered an injury to his right quadriceps, the Sevilla FC club announced on Twitter Sunday.
After the injury, the Moroccan goalkeeper was replaced by teammate Marko Dmitrović.
The Spanish club Sevilla FC faced their counterparts Villarreal in La Liga match on Sunday.
Although the severity of the injury is not yet known, it could jeopardize the goalkeeper’s chances of being part of the national team’s goal in the two friendly matches scheduled for September, 23 in Barcelona against Chile and September, 27 in Seville against Paraguay.
Bounou has previously been called by the new national coach, Walid Regragui, alongside Munir Mohamedi, Anas Zniti and Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti for the upcoming sporting events.
