Moroccan flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced a new update about the launch of special flights starting December 7 to 10 from Morocco to Spain, France, and Mauritania.

RAM indicated on Twitter that the special flights will operate only one way, with no return flights to the country, adding that travelers must have special authorization.

Recently, the airline announced that it had scheduled special flights on December 4 to Canada, Spain, and Italy, following the suspension of all flights from and to the kingdom starting November 29 for two weeks.

The move came after the new Omicron variant was identified in South Africa, with WHO describing it as a highly transmissible “variant of concern.”
