Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is set to resume its direct flights connecting Casablanca to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Doha (Qatar) starting in early July.
A well-informed source within the company told Hespress that the decision was made after the security situation in the Middle East significantly improved.
Once operations restart, the airline will offer one daily flight between Casablanca and Doha, alongside three weekly flights connecting Casablanca and Dubai.
Despite the return of these Middle Eastern flights, RAM will not immediately reinstate 12 other routes that were temporarily suspended on May 23. Those cancellations, which affected flights from Casablanca to several African nations, as well as routes from Tangier and Marrakech to various European cities, were caused by slowing demand and surging kerosene prices linked to the regional instability. The airline is currently waiting for the recent diplomatic agreements to help lower and stabilize global fuel prices before bringing these additional routes back online.
