Morocco’s tourism sector maintained its positive momentum in the first quarter of 2026, welcoming 4.3 million tourists, up 7% compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy.
March recorded particularly strong performance, with nearly 1.6 million tourists, marking an 18% increase year-on-year, the ministry said in a press release.
These results reflect sustained efforts under the 2023–2026 roadmap to strengthen air connectivity, diversify source markets, and enhance accommodation and entertainment offerings across the Kingdom, the same source adds.
Quoted in the statement, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy Fatim-Zahra Ammor said that “these figures confirm that Morocco as a destination is maintaining its trajectory.”
“March 2026 sends a strong signal. We will continue working to enshrine this momentum throughout the year,” she added.
