El Al will resume flights between Tel Aviv and Marrakech from November 16 through its Sun D’Or subsidiary, joining Arkia and Israir as Israeli carriers gradually restore direct service to Morocco. El Al currently lists Marrakech among its Tel Aviv routes.
Sun D’Or plans two weekly flights, with round-trip fares starting at $599. Arkia returned to the route on August 24, while Israir resumed service on September 1 with one weekly flight scheduled through the end of October.
The renewed capacity follows a suspension of direct links after October 7, 2023. Before that break, Israeli arrivals to Morocco had risen sharply, from about 39,900 in 2019 to more than 70,000 in 2022.
The Jerusalem Post reported on September 15 that around 20,000 Israeli tourists are expected to visit Morocco by the end of 2026, with further growth dependent in part on additional air capacity.
Trade has also expanded. Israeli statistics cited in the report show bilateral trade rose 69.6% in the first half of 2026 to $105.5 million. Moroccan exports to Israel reached $11.5 million, while Israeli exports to Morocco totaled about $94 million.
