Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has expressed his pride at playing for Al-Hilal, a club with a large fan base and an influence that extends far beyond the borders of Asia.

In statements relayed by Minbar Al-Hilal, Bounou stressed: “We know the importance of fans in Arab competitions, and Al-Hilal is an emblematic example of this. The club enjoys widespread popular support around the world, which is a real source of pride for us players.”

The Atlas Lions’ goalkeeper also confided that playing in the Club World Cup in Al-Hilal’s colors represents a dream for any professional player.

“Representing Al-Hilal in a competition of this magnitude is a huge honor. We hope to deliver a performance worthy of the club’s history and prestige,” he added.

Yassine Bounou will be taking part in the next Club World Cup with Al-Hilal, scheduled for June in the USA. The Saudi club is in Group H alongside Real Madrid, Mexico’s Pachuca and Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg.
