Casablanca’s public transportation system is set for a major expansion as the city prepares to launch two new tramway lines in June. Mayor Nabila Rmili announced this during a recent city council session.

Rmili confirmed that lines 3 and 4 of the tramway are in the final stages of testing and will be operational next month. She also mentioned that the city has received the last batch of 18 tram cars, completing the fleet for the new lines.

The expansion of the tramway network is expected to significantly improve mobility and connectivity within Casablanca, providing residents with a reliable and efficient mode of public transportation.

Mayor Rmili also highlighted the importance of integrating ticketing systems between the tramway and the city’s high-quality bus service, “Busway”, to further enhance the public transportation experience for passengers.
