On Tuesday, May 2, police officers in Tangiers were able to arrest a 20-year-old Turkish citizen, who was subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Danish judicial authorities, on suspicion of his involvement in a case related to attempted premeditated murder.
The suspect was arrested after his identification with the databases of the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol showed that he was the subject of a red notice at the request of the Central National Office in Denmark issued on April 30, 2023.
The suspect was kept under custody by order of the competent Public Prosecution, pending his presentation to the judicial authorities charged with deciding on extradition requests, in accordance with national legal texts and relevant international agreements.
