Moroccan security authorities arrested a French national at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by French judicial authorities, Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said.
The man is wanted in connection with an alleged attempted intentional killing involving a firearm in Paris in 2025, according to the DGSN.
His arrest came after he was identified at the airport, the DGSN said, adding that the operation was carried out as part of international security cooperation and efforts to track people wanted under international warrants.
The suspect remains subject to the legal procedures applicable to international arrest warrants and judicial cooperation with foreign authorities, the DGSN said.
