Thunderstorms expected across several parts of Morocco on Saturday

Morocco is expected to see thunderstorms and rain showers on Saturday in the Atlas Mountains and nearby areas, the southeast, Souss, the east, the central Atlantic plains, and the far south of Saharan provinces, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology.

Light rain and possible thunderstorms are also expected in the northwest of the Saharan provinces, while moderate winds are forecast in Tangier.

Nighttime temperatures will range from 2 to 8°C in the Atlas Mountains and Rif, 10 to 12°C in eastern Morocco and the northern Saharan provinces, and 15 to 21°C in the rest of the country.

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the southeast, the south of the Saharan provinces, the Malouya Valley, and the Oriental region, while dropping elsewhere.

Sea conditions will remain calm in the Mediterranean, slightly rough in the Strait of Gibraltar and north of Larache, and slightly rough to rough south of Larache.
