Saudi Hajj and Umrah Ministry announced on Monday that the Umrah season for those coming outside the country via Umrah visa will expire by the end of this month, reports DPA.

This move came in response to the closing date for Umrah-related reservations ahead of this year’s Hajj season.

During the Holy month of Ramadan, Umrah and Hajj witnessed an increase in the number of pilgrims coming to perform from different countries around the world.

Saudi’s Ministry further stated that the number of pilgrims coming from specific countries for this year’s Hajj will be in accordance with the quotas allocated to each country and in consideration of compliance with all health recommendations.

Additionally, Saudi Ministry has set up new conditions for this year, including pilgrims must be aged under 65, and have received their vaccine shots.

Pilgrims also need to provide a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours ahead of departure.

Saudi Ministry called on pilgrims to follow the health instructions as well as respect precautionary measures to preserve their health and safety when performing Hajj rituals, Hajj and Umrah Ministry concluded in its recent announcement.
