Morocco’s Road Financing Fund plans to allocate MAD 476.6 million in 2027 to eight road infrastructure projects covering nine provinces across four regions, according to its draft budget.

The fund will also earmark MAD 61 million for outstanding projects under the Second National Rural Roads Program, including MAD 21 million to complete provincial road 3609 in Berrechid and MAD 40 million for a bridge over the Moulouya River in Guercif.

Another priority is the intercommunal connectivity program, covering 200 projects across 113 municipalities in 19 provinces and seven regions.

The program involves approximately 960 kilometers of roads, with an estimated total investment of MAD 970 million.

The fund is also overseeing road improvements serving the planned Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane.

The stadium access agreement, valued at MAD 1.12 billion, includes widening a 17.34-kilometer section of National Road 1 between Bouznika and Regional Road 313.

By August 2026, contracts worth MAD 288.37 million had been committed under the project.

Meanwhile, the Second National Rural Roads Program has reached approximately 98% completion, benefiting around 15,000 villages across more than 730 rural municipalities.
