Spanish construction heavyweight ACS, under the leadership of Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez, is strategically considering a bid for Morocco’s ambitious Hassan II Grand Stadium project, Spanish media outlet Vozpópuli has reported. The new stadium, planned for Benslimane, is set to be one of Africa’s largest sporting venues.

The major project, with an estimated cost exceeding 470 million euros, is expected to host the final of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.

For ACS, one of the world’s top construction conglomerates, this represents a significant opportunity to bolster its presence in Africa amid strong international competition. The company has reportedly consulted Moroccan public law firms to assess the project’s regulatory, economic, and technical aspects.

While a final decision on ACS’s involvement has not yet been made, their keen interest highlights the considerable international appeal and symbolic importance of the future stadium, supporting Morocco’s ambitions to enhance its global sporting profile.
