The Moroccan karate team won a gold and a bronze medal at the Karate 1 Premier League, held from March 14 to 16 in Hangzhou, China.
Morocco’s Said Oubaya won gold in the under 67 kg category, following his victory in the final over Jordan’s Abdel Rahman Almastafa, who secured silver. Bronze went to Azerbaijan’s Nuran Rzazade and China’s Shin Cheng-Chung.
In turn, Moroccan Nisrine Brouk took home bronze in the under 68 kg category, as the title went to Japan’s Kama Tsubasa.
