Morocco achieved a new tourism milestone in January, welcoming 1.2 million tourists, marking a 27% increase compared to January 2024.

This record-breaking number reflects Morocco’s growing appeal as a top global tourist destination.

The Ministry of Tourism highlighted that for the first time, over one million tourists visited Morocco in January, reinforcing the success of the country’s strategic tourism initiatives over recent years.

Tourism Minister Fatima-Zahra Ammor emphasized that surpassing one million visitors in January confirms Morocco’s position as a year-round tourism leader. She also noted that this momentum aligns with the objectives of Morocco’s tourism roadmap, which places unique travel experiences at the heart of the tourism offering, allowing visitors to explore different regions of the country throughout the year.
