Mohamed Boudrika, president of Raja Casablanca football club, was arrested by German authorities at Hamburg Airport, sources told Hespress.
The arrest is based on a European arrest warrant (EAW) issued by Europol at the request of Spanish authorities. Boudrika is suspected of suspicious financial transactions in Spain.
Boudrika has been absent from Morocco for months and missed Raja’s recent championship wins.
He faces an international arrest warrant issued by Morocco for alleged financial crimes, including issuing bad checks, forgery, and fraud.
Sources claim Boudrika fabricated health reasons for his absence and despite media appearances, he avoided addressing legal issues and denied being a fugitive.
Boudrika mentioned real estate problems in Casablanca, including a stalled project due to permitting issues.
His extended absence led to his dismissal from his position as president of the Mers Sultan district, with local authorities attempting to contact him but received no response.
This incident follows Boudrika’s earlier attempt to justify his absence with a medical excuse, ultimately rejected by the Ministry of the Interior.
