The Cherifien Office of Phosphates (OCP) Group continues its commitment to Moroccan farmers as it launches the 3rd stage of its project  “Al Moutmir itinerant” dedicated to the cultivation of olive trees in Taourirt in the eastern region.

‌”Al Moutmir itinerant” accompanies the 2022-2023 agricultural campaign, and includes several workshops for the promotion and popularization of good agricultural practices and reasoned fertilization,

‌According to an OCP press release, Al Moutmir itinerant takes place in 4 stages and aims to “support more than 1,800 farmers, as it contributes to the national agricultural dynamics, namely the national strategy “Green Generation” and this for sustainable and eco-efficient agriculture in Morocco.”

‌This stage, which is a continuation of the stages organized since September 2018, contributes to the national agricultural dynamic, namely the national strategy “Green Generation” for sustainable and eco-efficient agriculture in Morocco.

‌”Al Moutmir itinerant”, launched on December 20 in the province of Kalaat des Seraghna, aims to disseminate good agricultural practices that respect the environment, in particular reasoned fertilization based on an integrated scientific technical itinerary.

‌OCP hopes to maintain and strengthen links with agricultural parties, bring “farmer solutions” as close as possible to farmers, facilitate their familiarization with its tools, and connect farmers to fertilizer distributor manufacturer partners and their reseller networks, thus the presentation of the product offers, and the putting in contact of the farmers with the distributors, the points of sale smart blenders and the resellers.

‌The Al Moutmir itinerant system takes place in 4 stages (3 days per stage). It includes several workshops for the promotion of good agricultural practices, including soil analysis, reasoned fertilization, the fertilizers put on the market by fertilizer manufacturer-distributor partners and their ecosystems of resellers, and the popularization of good size of olive trees.

‌Among the new features of this edition is the introduction of awareness and support workshops for the management of water resources which, according to the same source, will be led by experts from UM6P.
