Senegalese player Sadio Mané sustained an injury on Tuesday evening during his club’s game against Werder Bremen in the 14th round of the Bundesliga.
Mané lay on the pitch for a few minutes before being replaced by teammate Leroy Sané in the 20th minute with a right knee injury.
Sadio Mané’s injury comes just 10 days ahead of the 2022 World Cup as Senegal’s national coach Aliou Cisse prepares to release a list of 26 players for the upcoming World Cup.
According to the Senegalese Football Federation, the list will be revealed next Friday.
Senegal was drawn together with Group A countries, alongside host country, Qatar, the Netherlands, and Ecuador.
