Novak Djokovic won a fourth consecutive men’s singles of the Wimbledon title title after defeating  Australia’s Nick Kyrgios on Sunday.

In their two previous matches, which were played on hard courts in three sets, Kyrgios had won.

In yesterday’s game, the first set was lost by Serbia’s Djokovic, 35, due to excellent serving from Kyrgios, but he ultimately prevailed on Centre Court.

Djokovic was attempting to win his 28th straight match after a straight win in Wimbledon since 2017 when he retired from a quarterfinal match against Tomas Berdych.

Only Roger Federer has one more men’s titles than Djokovic.

Additionally, his victory put him one behind Rafael Nadal’s record of 22 male majors.
