Access to public spaces including cafes, sports stadiums, cinemas, theaters and university dormitories will require Moroccans to have a passport of vaccination, sources told Hespress.
The new measure is expected to be applied shortly.
The decision was announced after a meeting between ministerial committee members in charge of managing the COVID-19 pandemic in which they decided to impose the permissibility of vaccination within the next few days, after recording a significant decline in the level of demand for vaccination.
According to a source from the Scientific Committee for Vaccination, entering sports stadiums will only be possible for vaccinated individuals. However, wearing a mask and respecting precautionary measures remains mandatory.
As for cafés, it is expected that the vaccine pass will be adopted only for indoor seats while open spaces are exempted. The decision is expected to include theaters, cinemas and university dormitories as well.
The source indicated that the epidemiological situation in Morocco is significantly improving.
The same sources indicated that the decision of imposing the pass to access public places has become certain, and its delay may only be for logistical reasons.
After his appointment as a successor to Nabila Al-Rumaili, Minister of Health and Social Protection Khaled Ait Taleb chaired a meeting on the decline in the demand for vaccinations. The ministry called on unvaccinated groups to receive the jabs, alerting the elderly to the need to boost their immunity with a third injection.
And if the epidemiological situation is improving, why do you have to impose the damn bloody pass? I just don’t get it! This is really nonsense!
