A recent survey by the Moroccan Center for Citizenship found that 87.3% of respondents are dissatisfied with public healthcare services, while 76.2% are unhappy with taxi services.
The survey, conducted between November 2025 and March 2026, covered 650 people across Morocco’s regions and assessed professional conduct and service quality in public and private sectors.
It examined punctuality, respect for commitments, staff communication and reception, equal treatment, transparency over information and prices, and accountability.
Among public services, land registration offices had the highest satisfaction rate at 50.5%, followed by vehicle registration centers at 46.4% and water and electricity services at 42.4%.
Customs services scored 39.1%, while the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) recorded 34%.
Public healthcare services
Public healthcare had the lowest satisfaction rate among the public services covered by the survey, at just 12.7%.
Shortages of essential medical supplies were the main cause of dissatisfaction, cited by 85.4% of respondents. Waiting times were another issue, with 84.6% dissatisfied, including 59.5% who were completely dissatisfied.
Meanwhile, staff professionalism received the highest satisfaction rate among the healthcare services assessed, but only 29.5% of respondents were satisfied with how staff treated service users.
The survey also found that only 21.4% of respondents were happy with professional behavior at communes, compared with 25.8% at public schools, 26% in tax administrations, and 28.8% in the justice sector.
Private-sector services
In the private sector, pharmacies and grocery stores had the highest satisfaction rates, at 70.7% and 70.3%, respectively.
Meanwhile, taxi drivers ranked last, with only 23.8% of respondents satisfied with their services, compared with 76.2% who were dissatisfied.
Car mechanics, home plumbing services, and butcher shops recorded similar satisfaction rates, ranging from 47.8% to 48.1%.
