Tanger Med expects heavy outbound traffic from August 25 to 29 as Moroccans living abroad return to their countries of residence under the second phase of Operation Marhaba 2026.
Port director Jaafar Aamiyar urged passengers to avoid peak days when possible, warning that boarding delays could increase as traffic intensifies.
Travelers must hold confirmed ferry tickets showing a fixed departure date and time before arriving at the port. Those with open or undated tickets should contact their ferry operator through its website, application or customer-service number.
Reservations may also be changed at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity rest area near Tangier or at the Ain Chouka station in Ksar Sghir.
Changes remain subject to available places and vessel capacity. The confirmed-ticket system is intended to regulate arrivals and prevent congestion during the summer return period.
