More than 1.86 million Moroccans living abroad have returned to the Kingdom since the launch of Operation Marhaba 2026 on June 10.

Speaking during a presentation on the progress of the operation, Sanaa Derdikh, Director of Communication at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, said that as of July 20, a total of 1,862,609 travelers had crossed into Morocco, marking a 1.04% increase compared with previous reference periods.

Airports accounted for the largest share of arrivals, receiving 938,641 passengers, or 50.39% of the total, while 923,968 travelers entered through the Kingdom’s ports, representing 49.61%.

To ensure the smooth running of the operation, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity has mobilized significant logistical and human resources. A network of 26 reception and assistance centers has been deployed, including 20 across Morocco at major ports and airports, as well as six centers abroad in Spain, France, and Italy to assist Moroccans from the beginning of their journey home.

The foundation has also assigned more than 1,134 social workers to provide on-the-ground support and respond to travelers’ needs. Medical services have been reinforced through the deployment of 105 doctors and 111 nurses to deliver healthcare, emergency assistance, and rapid intervention when required.

By July 20, the operation had provided social and medical assistance to 21,413 people. Medical teams handled 2,417 cases, ranging from first aid and emergency treatment to hospital referrals.

In addition, 3,609 travelers benefited from administrative, legal, and transport assistance, while 14,417 information and guidance requests were processed.

Derdikh noted that Operation Marhaba 2026 is coordinated directly from the Mohammed V Foundation’s central office in Rabat through a permanent monitoring center.

A free national and international hotline operates around the clock throughout the operation, providing immediate support and responding to travelers’ inquiries to ensure a smooth transit experience for members of the Moroccan diaspora.
