General Directorate of Meteorology said temperatures are expected to rise gradually across much of Morocco starting midweek as hotter, drier air masses move north from the Sahara following several days of relatively cool and unstable weather.
Meteorologist Houcine Youabed said the warming trend is being driven by the expansion of the Azores anticyclone toward northern and western Morocco, reducing rainfall activity, alongside the growing influence of a Saharan thermal depression over the south and southeast.
According to national forecasts, temperatures will continue climbing through the end of the week, with relatively hot conditions expected across inland plains, the Souss region, areas west of the Atlas Mountains and Morocco’s southern provinces.
Maximum temperatures are expected to rise from Tuesday onward, particularly in inland plains, the southeast and the far south, while mist and low clouds may still form during mornings along parts of the Atlantic coast.
Warmer conditions are also forecast Wednesday across the Moulouya valley, Souss and northern inland regions.
