Morocco’s Société Générale des Travaux du Maroc (SGTM) is preparing to list on the Casablanca Stock Exchange to finance a record $3.7 billion order book, Bloomberg reported.
The company, which is building the new Hassan II Stadium near Casablanca with TGCC, is central to preparations for the 2030 World Cup that Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
SGTM CEO Hamza Kabbaj said the listing aims to “open new doors” for innovative financing and expand access to capital. The planned 115,000-seat stadium, about 55 kilometers from Casablanca, is expected to host the World Cup final and stand among the largest globally.
Founded over 50 years ago, SGTM has delivered major Moroccan infrastructure projects including Nador West Med Port and the Mohammed VI University. The group also plans to expand into Middle Eastern markets, particularly Saudi Arabia, amid growing regional construction demand.
