The Ivorian Press Agency (AIP) lauded Morocco’s central role in African sports diplomacy, referring to the Kingdom’s selection to host the 2025 CAF Awards ceremony in Rabat on November 19.

“By once again choosing Morocco, which has already hosted several major African competitions, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirms the Kingdom’s central role in African sports diplomacy,” the official Ivorian media outlet writes.

It further pointed out that this annual event, which honors the best players in African football over the past year, will spotlight players, coaches, clubs, and national teams that have shone through this season with remarkable performances.

This prestigious ceremony will pay tribute to the best African players, coaches, clubs, and national teams that have distinguished themselves over the past year.

AIP deems the 2025 CAF Awards a showcase for the excellence and diversity of football on the continent, just a few days shy of the beginning of the Africa Cup of Nations, to be held from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, in Morocco.
