The Confederation of African Football (CAF) praised Morocco’s continued dominance of African futsal after the Atlas Lions defeated Angola 5-2 in Wednesday’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations final in Rabat.

In its match report, CAF highlighted the Moroccan national team’s performance before its home supporters as it secured a record fourth continental title, following victories in 2016, 2020 and 2024.

Morocco took the lead through Othmane Idrissi in the 17th minute before Angola equalized a minute later. Youssef Jouad restored the hosts’ advantage just before halftime.

Idriss Raiss El Fenni, Ismail Amzal and Bilal Bakkali extended Morocco’s lead in the second half, while Anderson Fortes scored Angola’s second goal late in the match.

The victory made Morocco the first nation to win the tournament four times and extended its run to three consecutive titles.

Angola finished second, while Egypt secured third place with an 8-1 victory over Algeria.
