Manchester Airport has announced that Irish airline Ryanair will launch a new flight route connecting Manchester and Rabat on March 30, 2025, with two weekly flights. This new route will make Rabat the fifth Moroccan destination accessible via direct flights from this northern England airport, joining Tangier, Casablanca, Marrakech, and Agadir.

The airport highlighted Morocco’s growing appeal among British travelers, noting that nearly half a million passengers traveled to the kingdom from Manchester in 2024, a significant increase from 275,000 in the previous year, reflecting rising demand for the destination.

Stephen Turner, Manchester Airport’s commercial director, stated that Morocco has become an increasingly popular choice for residents of Northern England, and emphasized that Rabat offers a “memorable experience” that will be well appreciated by travelers.

The new route has attracted significant attention from British media, with The Sun describing Rabat as a “quiet coastal gem” filled with many attractive sights, including the Kasbah of the Oudayas, the old city, and the Hassan Tower.
