Moroccan students won four medals at the 4th edition of the Arab Mathematics Olympiad, which took place from November 10 to 14 in Doha.
Following the deliberations of the organizing scientific committee, the national team won one gold medal, one silver medal, and two bronze medals, as revealed during the closing ceremony of the event, according to a statement of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports.
Yassine Kamouh from the Casablanca-Settat region won the gold medal (38 points out of 40), Sami Moussaoui from the Oriental region received the silver medal (32/40), while Lina Chaker and Omar Hamidi from the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region won the bronze medals, with 14 and 13 points out of 40, respectively, the statement states.

The ministry and its partners congratulated the students who represented Morocco honorably in this scientific competition, as well as the members of the central committee of the National Mathematics Olympiad who ensured the preparation of these students for this important event. Families were also thanked for their support and involvement.
22 Arab countries participated in this edition, each represented by a team of four candidates who completed a single four-and-a-half-hour exam, the statement concluded.
