Severe thunderstorms expected across multiple Moroccan provinces this Wednesday

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a warning for severe thunderstorms, which are anticipated to affect several Moroccan provinces this Wednesday. The weather is expected to bring hail and gusty winds, with significant rainfall.

According to the DGM, thunderstorms are forecasted to bring between 15 and 25 millimeters (0.6 to 1 inch) of rain from 2 PM to 10 PM. The affected provinces include Al Haouz, Figuig, Azilal, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, and Errachidia.

The alert has been categorized as “orange,” indicating a heightened level of vigilance is required.
