The Criminal Chamber of the Casablanca Court handed down the death penalty to Ashraf R., known as “Ould Lefchouch,” the main perpetrator in the murder case of Badr that took place last summer in a McDonald’s parking lot, after finding him guilty of premeditated murder, attempted murder, participation in a robbery involving violence, and other offenses.
Evidence showed that the murder was not only planned but also accompanied by additional criminal acts.
Amin R., who confessed to driving the vehicle that tragically ended Badr’s life, received a life sentence. Abderrafik Z., another accomplice, was sentenced to 25 years in prison. The court also imposed a 20-year sentence on Ahmed S. and a 5-year sentence on Hamid A., who assisted the perpetrators in fleeing to Laayoune before their eventual arrest.
