The total number of students enrolled in pre-school education climbed by 1.7% in 2022–2023 to 931,393 on the national level, up from 915 491 kids registered the year before.

The Department of National Education and Preschool published on Thursday, a report that includes statistics and indicators for the 2022–2023 academic year, according to MPA.

The Department of National Education is executing the terms of Framework Law 51.17, to improve the pace of preschool generalization, and the 2022–2026 road map for a high-quality public education was deployed, according to the report.

Public preschool education has seen an increasing appeal, with a rise of 11% from the 514,856 students registered for the 2021–2022 school year to 571,301 for the present school year.

The number of private preschool students fell from 230,251 in 2021–2022 to 222,795 in 2022–2023, a 3.2% drop.

The National Education and Preschool Department’s results for the 2022–2023 school year are encouraging, reflecting the Ministry’s and its partners’ efforts to improve education as well as the system’s return to positive data and indicators following the decline during the Covid–19 era.

The report examines the statistics and evaluation of many intervention areas, including preschool education, schooling, social assistance, and human resources.

Additionally, it shows how the primary educational indicators changed throughout the course of the 2022–2023 academic year.
