The Tourist Bicycle Association of Souss Massa has launched an appeal on its social media pages asking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Moroccan Embassy in Burkina Faso to intervene in the search for two Moroccan cyclists who have been missing since 29 March.
The Moroccan cyclists, Abdelrahman Serhani and Idriss Fathi, left the city of Dakhla on 19 January on their bicycles, heading towards Mauritania and other African countries.
The appeal comes after all attempts to contact the missing cyclists have failed, and after their families and friends have expressed great concern about their disappearance. The association has called on the Moroccan authorities to work closely with the Burkinabe authorities to search for the two cyclists and ensure their safety and well-being.
