Moroccan police found a 34-year-old Norwegian tourist in Agadir on Tuesday after his family reported him missing when he failed to board his flight home and stopped answering calls.

Police in Marrakech opened a missing-person inquiry after receiving the family’s alert and coordinated with officers in Agadir to trace the tourist.

The search located him staying at a hotel in Agadir. Police said he was unharmed and that there was no indication of criminal activity linked to his disappearance.

The man was taken to Agadir’s judicial police department to complete the procedures connected to the family search request.

Authorities also informed his relatives in Norway that he had been found safely.

The case was resolved through coordination between the Marrakech and Agadir police services after the tourist’s missed flight and loss of contact raised concern among his family.
