Africa’s cultural capital, Rabat, will be home to the Moroccan Shorts International Film Festival from May 8 to May 11, a collaboration between the association of the Rabat International Festival for Arts and Culture and the Faculty of Educational Sciences of Rabat.

More than 25 nations from Europe, America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Morocco will be represented at this film festival, which takes place in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Education in Rabat.

The festival’s schedule will include several events in addition to screening more than forty short films in competition, catering to the preferences of various audiences with options including fiction, animation, documentaries, or Moroccan short films.

An international jury of well-known producers and directors will oversee this competition, according to a press release.

The occasion will also feature master classes and training sessions offered by cinema producers and experts.

Sam Lahoud, a writer, director, and producer, Ahed Bensouda, an internationally renowned actor and director, and Daoud Ouled Sayed, a filmmaker, and photographer, will all be present at Morocco Shorts.

This cultural gathering will pay tribute to some individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of journalism and cinema at both the national and international levels.
