A student applicant who registered twice through two different files to pass the bar exam with a two national card number is being sued by the Moroccan justice minister.

The news was revealed by Abdelatif Ouahb this on Tuesday while discussing numerous ongoing controversies involving his name as a guest on the forum of the Maghreb Arab News Agency.

“We will refer the file to the Public Prosecution Office,” Ouahbi stated in reference to the lawsuit against the student. “It relates to the charge of forging an official document, namely the national identification card.”

The minister, on the other hand, declared that the bar exam registration and nomination process was considerate for the first time, stating that “I accepted the files of the late candidates due to the delay in issuing their diplomas only one day before the closing of the nomination deadlines, and I turned a blind eye to the issue of the date.”

The Minister of Justice denied all claims made about the success of a female student with a bachelor’s degree in economics, affirming that the regulations showed there is no such thing and that all claims to the contrary are simply fabrications that have been exaggerated by the media.

In order for the Public Prosecution Office to launch a search and inquiry into the problem, the data and facts must be identified precisely and in full, according to the minister. “Although they wronged me and the Ministry’s employees and the examination committee, they remain our children,” he stated in reference to the furious students who failed the bar exam.

Prior to the minister’s public appearance explaining the above, a number of law students who failed the bar exam filed a complaint on Friday with the Public Prosecutor of the King at the Court of Cassation in Rabat, requesting that an investigation be opened into the exam’s results, amid ongoing controversy.
