Casablanca will welcome the L’Boulevard festival from September 23 to October 2nd, after a two-year forced halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Celebrating 20 years of being held in the economic capital, L’Boulevard returns with a special lineup, from rap to hip-hop, rock to metal, and fusion music.

Hosted in the R.U.C stadium, L’Boulevard gives an opportunity to many artists to perform in front of a huge crowd. With bands from all over the world and local artists coming this year to celebrate the Moroccan Music scene.

True to its traditional self, L’Boulevard maintains its free entry policy and is open to all willing attendees.

The festival’s organizers believe that everyone should be granted access to a festival that celebrates music and artistic creation, and that hopes to gather people in a safe non-judgmental place where everyone can have fun.

The festivals consist of two elongated weekends consisting of three days each starting from Friday, which is the festival’s tradition, a day per genre.

The first weekend’s lineup is as follows, starting with DJ Key, Abduh, Vargas, and Khtek on the festival’s opening day which is dedicated to Rap and Hip-Hop.

On the second day dedicated to Rock and Metal, the Moroccan band Deep Star will open the show, Haoussa and Psykup will follow.

Mizane will open up on the third day, followed by Hasba Groove and Ribab fusion in a day fully dedicated to Fusion.

The second weekend’s lineup consists of many big names in the rap scene.
Iguidir will open up on this second ‘first day’, L’morphine will follow, Dollypran, Mobydick, and finally, El Grande Toto.

The next day will have Hold the breath, Arka’n Asrafokor, Betweenatna, and Vader.

On the very last day, Jubantouja will open the scene with a Moroccan vibe only to be followed by L’Entourloop all the way from France.

From Italy and Jamaika, Alborosie Shengen Clan will play before Hoba Hoba spirit wrap up this 20 edition of the long-awaited festival.

L’Boulevard’s commitment to giving people the best musical experience can easily be felt in this lineup.

Having Khtek on board for the first day is a great move to cherish an artist who is now among the 100 most influential and inspiring women in the world according to BBC. Khtek has helped make the Moroccan rap scene more inclusive for women by creating a name for herself in a heavily male-dominated scene.

A selection of the rappers performing on the scene has been featured in a song, Toto, Khtek, Abduh, Vargas, and Dollyprane are rapped in ‘Salina’.

Toto has been making headlines ever since the release of his very long-awaited album Cameleon.

His song with Ckay Love Nwatiti has surpassed 100 million streams ever since its release.

L’Morphine, an icon of Moroccan rap, and one of the most prolific writers in the scene has a particular way of making songs that tell stories in his own way.

The lineup has L’Boulvard’s fans impatiently waiting for this edition to reunite with their favorite artists in an attempt to restore a pre-Covid-19 sense of normalcy.

Casablanca, a city that never sleeps, is all ready for the festival comers from all over Morocco, to enjoy the scenes of the festival all night long.
