Morocco’s Cherifian Office for Phosphates (OCP) said the turnover in the first half of the current year amounted to about MAD 56 billion, an increase of 72% year on year.

The second quarter of the current year totaled MAD 30 billion, up compared to MAD 18.1 billion recorded in the same period last year, an increase of 69%, according to the quarterly financial results.

The Moroccan group stated that this good performance is linked to favorable market conditions in terms of pricing.

Regarding investments, the group’s expenditures amounted to MAD 7.8 billion in the first quarter of the current year, up compared to MAD 4.3 billion recorded last year, an increase of 83%, added the same source.

Recently, OCP has created joint fertilizer plants in other countries, namely Hong kong, Spain, and Brazil, among others.
