Seven members of a Belgian-Moroccan family lost their lives in two accidents in Morocco, Belgian media reported on Saturday.
Six members of the family died in a traffic accident while following an ambulance carrying a cousin who had drowned.
Among the dead were three children of a Belgian family who were visiting their relatives in Morocco.
The children, aged 15, 13 and 4, were in a car. Their parents were not with them at the time of the single-vehicle accident.
A few hours earlier, a cousin of the family drowned during a day trip to the Fint oasis, south of Ouarzazate.
The six deceased family members were in the car following the ambulance transporting the deceased cousin to the hospital in Sidi H’ssine Bennacer.
Their aunt and two cousins also lost their lives in the traffic accident, it is explained.
The Belgian media also state that the father of the three children was in the ambulance and was not injured.
