The Moroccan Health Ministry confirmed on Wednesday that the 3 suspected Monkeypox cases turned out to be negative, after their blood samples were analyzed in the laboratory, according to a Ministerial press release.
“All of the suspected cases are in good health, and are still under health care and medical supervision, in line with health procedures,” said the Ministry in its press release.
The epidemiological taskforce monitoring the virus still didn’t record any confirmed monkeypox cases in Morocco, it added.
The Health Ministry reacted swiftly to news of a monkeypox outbreak in Europe, by setting up a system for epidemiological monitoring and surveillance of cases that may be suspected of infection.
The Ministry also stressed that it is taking all the necessary measures, in line with national and international health safety standards.
“The Health Ministry will continue to communicate updates about this global health warning,” the Ministry concluded in its press release.
Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb told Hespress earlier today about the negative results from the three suspected cases, which are now confirmed by the ministry.
