A French citizen of Algerian citizen under the Interpol’s radar was arrested today by the judicial police of Tangier, in coordination with the services of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance.
Judicial authorities suspected since 2021 that the detainee is linked to international drug trafficking networks of narcotics and psychotropic substances, in addition to money laundering.
The International Criminal Police Organization issued a “red notice”, on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued by the French police, against the suspect in the database of internationally wanted persons.
The suspect was arrested, accompanied by a woman of 21 years, in flagrante delicto in possession of Chira and four luxury watches, in addition to a sum of money in national currency.
The detainees were placed under custody, a judicial investigation was ordered by the competent prosecutor, and the procedure for the extradition of the detainee is entering in force.
