The French embassy in Morocco announced this Friday that it will set up a special ferry in destination to Morocco on March 12.
The embassy stated this special ferry will allow French people, European citizens, and permanent residents in France, traveling aboard a vehicle registered in Europe to access Morocco via this route, the French embassy wrote on Twitter.
“The special ferry will connect Tanger Med to Marseille on March 12,” the French embassy added in the tweet, noting that the exact schedule will be announced later.
People wishing to travel via this special ferry are required to fill out a form via the following website: https://forms.ambafrancemaroc.org/inscription-traversee-maritime-speciale-tanger-med-marseille-le-12-mars-2022 to be able to book their place, added the same source.
Registration is required per vehicle and per person, explained this diplomatic office, which specifies that any registration made outside this form or with incorrect information cannot be taken into account.
Registered people on the list will be called by the shipping company to purchase their ticket, specified the same source.
This move came after Morocco decided to suspend the reopening of maritime travel, according to the Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics’ recent note published on February 4.
