Strong winds halt Tangier–Tarifa ferry services
Sunday 13 September 2026 - 14:28

Ferry services between Tangier City port and Spain’s Tarifa port have been suspended as strong winds in the Strait of Gibraltar made sailing unsafe.

The suspension disrupted passengers’ travel plans, leaving travelers at the port waiting for conditions to improve and crossings to resume.

Services are expected to restart once weather conditions allow safe passage. Authorities urged passengers to check their sailing’s status before traveling to the port.
