Morocco’s government is preparing to organize an exam of recruitment for people with special needs.
Informed sources told Hespress in a statement that the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform sent a letter to the rest of the ministerial sectors in order to provide them with data of how many people with disabilities were previously hired.
The Ministry of Digital Transition’s letter called on the ministerial sectors to collect data related to people with special needs who were hired, including their workplace, integration, tools facilitating their tasks at work, and other useful data.
This move comes as part of the 2022 Finance Law, as in the last 3 years, the government allocated 200 positions for people with disabilities.
The former government headed by Saad Eddine El Othmani organized for the first time a unified recruitment exam for people with disabilities in 2018, benefiting 50 people, after widespread protests organized by a number of blind people in front of the Ministry of Family, Solidarity, Equality and Social Development.
In the last three years, the government has been allocating 200 positions under each new finance law, aiming to integrate people with special needs into the labor market.
