Royal Air Maroc Airlines company (RAM) announced the cancelation of its flights to and from Morocco starting Monday, November 29 at 11:59 p.m., following Moroccan authorities’ decision to suspend international flights.
This move comes as a measure to avoid a surge in the new Omicron variant.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said South Africa’s new Omicron variant is a highly transmissible virus of concern.
RAM announced some recommendations to its customers after the cancelation of flights, including the option to change or to get reimbursed for the booked flight tickets from and to Morocco for the period from November 30, 2021, to December 13, 2021.
RAM also offers the possibility to change the flight ticket for another travel date until January 31, 2022, from or to the same destination or another point in the Royal Air Maroc network, in this case, the customer will be required to add the price difference.
The other option is a refund in a cash form, valid for 12 months from the date of issue if the flight ticket is not used by the end of its validity, and the customer’s request has to be done “3 months at the latest after its expiry,” specified the company, adding in order to benefit from one of these options, the customer must go to his initial point of sale to request his refund during the validity period of his flight ticket.
