The New York-based AC Syracuse academy will soon have a new branch in the Moroccan city of Laayoune, where it will contribute to the training of young footballers.
The constituent assembly of this academy in Laayoune, held in partnership with the Regional Football League of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra and the Women’s Municipal Club of Laayoune, took place on Wednesday during an AC Syracuse delegation visit to many sports facilities of the Moroccan city, where a number of meetings with officials were conducted.
This partnership aims to create a football school, train high-level players, and organize national and international tournaments.
The president of AC Syracuse Pulse, Samir Belhseine, said that the objective of this initiative is first to make known the city of Laayoune to American citizens and members of this academy in the United States.
It also seeks to contribute to sports development in Laayoune, as well as to the training of young people, said the US-based Moroccan national, specifying that this academy will be equipped with the best executives, both from Morocco and abroad, to best assume its sporting and educational mission.
