The Rabat-Sale tramway Company (STRS) announced it would resume the usual tramway traffic starting November 1st, at 6 a.m, instead of November 4.

This progress is mainly due to the speed-up of construction work on the road hopper at the intersection between Hassan II and Al Alaouiyine avenues in Rabat.

This fast return to the usual traffic between the bridge of Hassan II and November 16 place’s tram stations is mainly thanks to the intensified efforts of all the teams and companies involved in this project in order to restore the tramway’s service to citizens, the company said in a press release.

This measure comes as part of a project, aiming to facilitate road flows to and from the Hassan II Bridge.

Since October 19, the Rabat-Sale tramway Company (STRS) announced the temporary suspension of tramway traffic between the two stations.

During the temporary suspension, citizens used to take the tramway from Sale, get off at the Hassan II Bridge station, and walk to November 16 place station, then they continue on the tramway to their destination.

Construction work on this site was carried out throughout the day, which made it possible to resume the usual traffic sooner than expected by the company.
