Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi announced a 26-man squad on Wednesday, November 4, for two upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger, recalling striker Youssef En-Nesyri while leaving out several established players, including injured midfielder Ismail Saibari.
The Lions of the Atlas will face Niger on November 13 in Casablanca before playing the return fixture on November 17 in Rabat. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m.
The fixtures count toward the third and fourth rounds of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
En-Nesyri’s return strengthens Morocco’s attacking options, with Brahim Diaz, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Yassine Gessime, Ayoub Oufkir and Yassir Zabiri also included.
Ouahbi has selected a mixture of experienced internationals and younger players, including Ayyoub Bouaddi, Abdellah Ouazane and Reda Belahyabe.
Captain Achraf Hakimi retains his place alongside Noussair Mazraoui, Nayef Aguerd and Issa Diop in defense.
