Morocco made it two wins from two in 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying after beating Lesotho 2-0 on Tuesday at Free State Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Mohamed Ouahbi rotated his side after Friday’s win over Gabon, bringing in Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, Zakaria El Ouahdi and Oussama Targhalline.

Morocco controlled possession from the opening minutes but struggled to turn pressure into clear chances against a deep Lesotho defence.

Brahim Diaz broke the deadlock just before halftime, capitalizing on a defensive mistake to send Morocco into the break 1-0 ahead.

The Atlas Lions remained on top after the restart, with Ouahbi later introducing Abdessamad Ezzalzouli and Soufiane Rahimi to refresh the attack.

Azzedine Ounahi sealed the win in the 82nd minute, finishing after a Rahimi assist.

The result leaves Morocco with six points from their opening two Group A matches after consecutive 2-0 victories over Gabon and Lesotho.
